The iconic British sitcom Fatty Owls is taking to the stage not far from where the story began.

Following a successful West End run with sold-out audiences, the stage adaptation is embarking on a UK tour, making a highly anticipated stop in Torquay.

Created by John Cleese, the stage show faithfully adapts the beloved BBC TV series, offering a hilarious two-hour theatrical experience with a brand-new finale.

Expect all the classic chaos: Basil Fawlty's frantic attempts to impress hotel inspectors, his encounters with demanding guests, and his constant clashes with the hapless Manuel

John Cleese said: “When we came up with the idea of bringing Fawlty Towers to the stage, I never thought it would get the reception that it has. I’m delighted that the audiences we’ve had in the West End still think it’s as funny as ever.

The announcement of the tour means many more people will now have the chance to laugh themselves helpless.”

First aired in 1975, "Fawlty Towers" is renowned for its absurd humor and unforgettable characters, led by Basil Fawlty, owner of a chaotic hotel. The series has numerous awards, including two BAFTA Awards.

"A comedy masterpiece makes a seamless transition to the stage" (The Arts Desk)
"From the moment Basil walks on stage, the audience start laughing" (Daily Mail)
"If you loved the original TV series, you will adore this show" (Broadway World)
"Some of the best punchlines ever written" (London Theatre)
"An indisputably funny evening" (Daily Telegraph)
