The Exeter Craft Festival is in its 47th year and is run entirely by a small committee of volunteers. It features high quality artisan craft and original art by creators based in the four Westcountry counties, and runs from 4-6 July. It is free for the public to enter, and includes free entertainment (vocalists, dancers, face painting, children's entertainer, and a strolling jazz band). Crafts featured include glasswork, woodwork, handmade jewellery, textiles, ceramics, feltwork, metalwork, plants and art of various genres. There is even one exhibitor displaying handmade English longbows and associated archery equipment. There is something to appeal to everyone, and there are refreshments on site.
