An Evening with Dame Darcey Bussell & Dawn French

Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP) is hosting a very special, one-off fundraising event.

CEO James Mackenzie Blackman will chat with Dawn French and Dame Darcey Bussell about their careers, covering topics from the Royal Ballet to Strictly Come Dancing, Comic Relief, and The Vicar of Dibley.

A multi-award-winning actor and comedian, and a true national treasure, Dawn French has delighted audiences around the world whilst always being deeply proud of her Plymouth roots.

Dame Darcey Bussell DBE, is a renowned dancer, previously a Principal dancer at the Royal Ballet, and is now Chair of Trustees at TRP in Plymouth.

After the event, Dawn will host a book signing for her new memoir which reflects on the past six decades.

Dawn said: “I’m looking forward to sitting down with Darcey and James and reminiscing about work and life and delving into things that have happened to get us to this point; both good and bad; planned and incidental”.

Dame Darcey said: “The evening with Dawn will be a wonderful chance for us to share our love of the theatre, fun anecdotes about our time on stage, and how we’ve evolved through our careers."

Proceeds from the exclusive event will support TRP's work. Limited seats are available.
