Tiverton Rugby Club suffer narrow league defeat
Reflecting on the game, Tiverton director of rugby Jon His, says: “We can have no complaints at the final score and have to settle with another bonus point, in what was a tense and evenly matched affair with our neighbours.
“Both teams had some decent opportunities , and whilst we had a lot of momentum going into the last 15 mins, and a slender lead, we knew any error could be punished and it was.
“We cannot fault anyone’s effort levels, with everyone putting their bodies on the line throughout , and must now look to improve our completion rate in the 22 to ensure we convert pressure into points.
“As a management team, we are delighted that there has only been one occasion this season where we have failed to gain at least a point from a league game (V league leaders Sidmouth, Away). This shows that we are very competitive , and whilst we sit in 5th place, we must now look to improve as a side and continue to build.
“Falmouth , Away this coming Saturday is sure to be a big challenge and one that will require a big team effort.”
