Teenager seriously injured in Plymouth woods

Two girls among five arrested

Two teenage girls aged 14 and 16 have been questioned about a potentially life-changing attack on a young man in Plymouth.

They are among five people arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm in a woodland area between Lower Central Park and Discovery Way in the city.

The assault took place between 7.30pm and 10.30pm on Tuesday 28 November when the 19-year-old victim was assaulted by a group of people.

The others question are three men aged 19, 25 and 26. All have been released on police bail while enquires continue.

DC Jamie Rose said: “The victim of this incident has sustained very serious injuries. The involved parties and believed to be known to each other and this is being treated as an isolated incident.”
