Reporting crimes made easier

A new mobile police station has arrived on the streets of Torquay.

Passers-by can now easily report crimes, provide statements and receive crime prevention advice without visiting a traditional police station.

The pop-up station will be located in various parts of the town throughout October and November and will be staffed by police and community support officers.

This initiative is part of the force's ongoing efforts to become more accessible and visible to the community.

It will be located at the following dates and locations:

  • Wednesday, October 9, 1-4 PM: Near the Green Ginger, Fleet Walk
  • Saturday, October 19, 10 AM-1 PM: Outside Primark, Union Street
  • Friday, November 1, 1-3:30 PM: Near the Premier Store, Fleet Walk
  • Saturday, November 9, 10 AM-2 PM: Castle Circus
  • Friday, November 22, 5-8 PM: Near the Green Ginger, Fleet Walk
  • Friday, November 29, 10 AM-2 PM: Outside Primark, Union Street

Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez said, "We are making it easier for the people of Torquay to engage with officers face-to-face. Our goal is to bring about real, long-term change and demonstrate to residents that the police are here to listen, support, and take action."

If you have information about local illegal activity, please report it to Devon & Cornwall Police by calling 101 or click here.
