Police leaders confident of reducing crime

Devon and Cornwall's police and crime commissioner says he's confident he and the newly-appointed Chief Constable can work together effectively to tackle crime.

Shaun Sawyer, who's been acting chief constable for nine months, has been selected for the top job and will officially take over next month.

Tony Hogg, the police and crime commissioner, says he was the best out of five strong candidates and they've already worked together for several weeks.
