Vehicles causing a nuisance to residents

Devon & Cornwall Police, along with support from Torbay Council, helped remove abandoned vehicles from the streets of Brixham after receiving reports from local residents about their obstructive placement.

The Paignton and Brixham neighbourhood police team have seen a number of unused vehicles being abandoned on roads and streets. These vehicles have been causing a nuisance to local residents and road users.

Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Karl Copik who helped with the move, said: “I’m pleased that we have been able to successfully remove these vehicles from the road and now they will no longer cause an issue for our community. I know how much of an inconvenience this was causing local people, so it’s great that we were able to act to resolve this problem. Many thanks to Torbay Council who we regularly work in partnership with on these issues.”

“Our team is aware there are still a number of abandoned vehicles remaining in the local area, and we’d like to reassure the public that we are working alongside the council to address this.”
