One person's been treated for the effects of smoke inhalation following a fire at a property in Plymouth city centre.

Four fire engines and paramedics attended the incident on Thursday evening.

Fire control received several calls to reports of smoke issuing from a top floor flat in Vauxhall Street in Bretonside, with reports of people still in the building.

Everyone got out safely, and the street was closed while the incident was ongoing

A ventilation fan was used to clear the property of leftover smoke.
