Number in norovirus lawsuit continues to rise

Three hundred and fifty people are now seeking compensation for being made severely ill by the norovirus outbreak at an Exeter restaurant earlier this year.

Specialist solicitors Irwin Mitchell are acting for the many victims of the highly infectious bug, who caught it after visiting the Toby Carvery at the Exeter Arms around the Easter weekend.

In July they were representing 300 people - fifty more have contacted them since then.

The owners of the restaurant still haven't told the legal firm whether they're going to admit liability - but they will have to make a decision by the end of this year.
