The MP for Tiverton and Honiton has joined the fight against major housing developments in fields surrounding Feniton.
Residents are gearing up to put their case to a public inquiry next month, as they challenge the proposals for two hundred and 35 homes.
They say not only does Feniton lack the roads, schools and other facilities the new residents would need, but there are also flooding problems that need to be solved before any extra housing is built.
Neil Parish has campaigned for the flooding to be addressed for some time, and is also calling for the planning inspectorate to consider the lack of infrastructure when deciding whether to allow the housing estates to be built.
