The leader of the Labour group on Devon county council has raised serious concerns about the effects of continuous cuts in Government funding.
It comes as the leader of the Conservative-controlled council, John Hart, is meeting district, parish and town councils to find out whether they can help provide some public services, as a further one hundred million pounds of savings are needed over the next four years.
Richard Westlake from the Labour group says the cutbacks have gone too far and are having a serious impact on services, including some which are needed to support economic recovery, and others which are important for the welfare of the public.
