The principal of Exeter College Richard Atkins has been honoured with a CBE for services to further education.
Exmouth-based Audrey Moore receives an MBE for public and voluntary services to the Royal Marines - and also in Exmouth, Gillian Laws receives a British Empire Medal for services to the community.
A nurse at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Fiona Fry, has also received a British Empire Medal - as has a former district nurse in Willand, 80-year-odl Glenda Frost, who's being rewarded for her continuing services to the community.
