Exeter's Safer Internet Centre has welcomed the launch of a new helpline for parents, teaching them how to protect their children from risks online. .
It's being set up in a partnership between O2 and the NSPCC - in response to concerns that most parents don't broach the subject of Internet safety to children before they reach the age of 10.
The Exeter centre says with youngsters of pre-school age going online, education needs to start much younger.
It carries out awareness sessions at schools and gives advice to teachers and parents, as well as children.
