Nottingham Forest and Liverpool on their way
Two of the country's top football teams will be in Devon next month, having been drawn to play Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle.
Top of the Premier League Liverpool have been drawn to face bottom of the Championship Plymouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The Merseyside club were last in Devon to play Exeter City in the third round in 2016, when Exeter kept them to a draw, resulting in a very profitable away day in Liverpool.
So Argyle will dream that the current leaders, evidently not infallible, could trip up on the long journey to England's most south westerly professional club.
Exeter meanwhile have drawn Nottingham Forest, who, were it not for goal difference, would be second in the Premier League.
Until recently an unfashionable club, they are rejuvenated under manager Nuno Espirato Santo.
After beating Oxford United at the weekend, Exeter are through to the fourth round of the cup for the first time in 44 years.
Both Exeter and Plymouth will be expected to sell out for the games, and both will have hopes for lucrative television coverage.
