A former teacher at Exmouth Community College is starting a prison sentence today for historic child sex offences there.
Geoffrey Perryman is now in his 80's and living in Gloucestershire.
But between the 1960s and 1980s he worked at Exmouth's Secondary School. The charges related to cases more than 50 years ago, where he targetted vulnerable boys aged 11 and 12 - using his position as a football coach and teacher to create situations where he could be alone with them.
Mr Perryman pleaded guilty at Gloucester Crown Court to two counts of gross indecency with a boy under the age of 14, two indecent assaults on boys and one of inciting a boy to commit gross indecency.
One of his victims suffered post-traumatic stress. Police say they've all suffered the consequences over the last 40 to 50 years.
They've welcomed the prison sentence of two years and eight months and reminded anyone, who's suffered historic sex abuse, to contact their victim care unit on Exeter 475 900
