Extra cash for Exeter Citizens' Advice Bureau

Exeter's Citizens Advice Bureau has been awarded a grant in recognition of its work helping people cope with changes to the benefits system.

A Universal Credit is replacing a range of existing means-tested benefits and tax credits.

The CAB has already been dealing with a large increase in enquiries from people affected by the changes.

The grant of just over 15 thousand pounds, from the Exeter Board of city and county councillors, will help fund specialist information and advice services.
