Consumer group Which? ranks city highly
Exeter is one of the top places in the UK to retire.
The consumer group Which? has ranked each local authority in the nine regions of England and one each in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales to come up with 12 locations you should spend the years between packing in work and the grave.
It scored each area out of 10 for healthcare, happiness, green space, including parks and sports fields, and housing affordability.
Exeter had positive scores for healthcare, happiness and green spaces.
It noted it is close to an airport to reach other UK cities, has train connectivity to London and is handy for the seaside.
