Dream on. No snow this Christmas.

But there's more of a chance in January

Exeter’s almost certainly not getting a white Christmas

The Met Offie has published a list of cities least likely to see snow on the big day.

Only Truro has less chance of a dusting.

You’ve a better chance of enjoying snow in Plymouth on Christmas Day. But even that’s very, very unlikely.

Snow falls more often in January (5.3 days on average ), February (5.6 days) and even March (4.2 days) than in December (3.9 days).  And Winter doesn't officially start (unless you're the Met Office) until 21 December, the solstice.

The good news is that the evenings will be getting lighter.
