The number of jellyfish being spotted around the Devon coast has increased steeply this year.
The Marine Conservation Society, which monitors reported sightings, says several species have been seen, but seventy-five per cent of them have been barrel jellyfish (pictured) - and many of them have been in Devon.
The MCS says research is needed to find out why their numbers are increasing so steeply.
