More than 80 businesses attended the annual lunch
Held at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum on Queen Street Exeter, the lunch gave members the opportunity to raise issues and ask questions about what has been affecting their businesses. Ben answered questions from members on topics including business rates, new home construction, zero carbon city planning and Brexit.
Mr Bradshaw said: “I am always pleased to be able to address the Exeter business community through the Chamber of Commerce – the event provides another route by which I can hear from constituents and ensure that I am representing their views at national level.”
Derek Phillips, Vice President said; “It is always a pleasure to host Exeter’s MP. This lunch is particularly beneficial to our members as it gives them the chance to speak directly to Ben and raise any concerns with him over lunch. This year the main topic of questions focused on Brexit as there is much uncertainty among businesses about the outcome in October.”
The next event in the Chamber calendar is the Exeter Chamber Summer Bash, taking place on Thursday 22nd August 2019 at the Deer Park Country House from 5pm - 6:30pm.
