Exeter-based partner joins colleagues in a prestigious guide to the best private wealth lawyers in the UK
A talented young Exeter-based partner has joined her colleagues in a prestigious guide to the best private wealth lawyers in the UK.
Charisse Crawford, a partner in the inheritance and trust disputes team at Stephens Scown LLP has been ranked for the first time in the private wealth disputes section of Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide.
The guide, which has just been published, is based on feedback from clients. One says of Charisse, who is an expert in inheritance and trust disputes, that she is: “clearly very experienced in this area of law”. Charisse trained with Stephens Scown and was promoted to partner in 2016.
Charisse’s colleague Phil Gregory is also ranked in the private wealth disputes section and has retained his Band 1 ranking. Phil recently led the legal team that secured a settlement in excess of £1 million for Lucy Habberfield, in a dispute over the inheritance of the family farm.
Stephens Scown’s managing partner Richard Baker commented: “Charisse is one of our most exciting legal talents. She was promoted to partner several years ago and continues to demonstrate her tenacity and not inconsiderable legal skills. This recognition is very well deserved and I have no doubt she will continue to excel as her career progresses.”
