Fans reaction to impressive Exeter City win

The Grecians beat Cambridge last night 2-0

Exeter's Jonathan Forte and Jayden Stockley scored early in the first half for Exeter. City now have 10 points from their opening four matches and currently sit top of the table.

Despite the impressive victory, club manager Matt Taylor says his side have more to give. Speaking to the clubs website, he said: “We can still be better, I’m still going to ask for more from the group. We had five minutes where I’ve said: ‘If we want to get to where we want to go to, then we’ve got to be better.’ I never ask them to do anything they aren’t capable of so there is more to come from this group.

“I’m always going to demand more from the group, and they know that as well, and I want them to start doing it from each other and then I’ll know I’ve got a successful team. We can’t settle on our laurels in terms of that 2-0 victory, but to come to a place like Cambridge and take away three points then you’re always going to be pleased. We’re a young team, four games in, and we are still going to get better.”

Up next, Exeter face Lincoln City. The Grecian supporters are feeling confident heading into the encounter. Taking to Twitter, they said:
