Former Exeter Chiefs legends to reunite for charity match

Exeter Chiefs full-back Phil Dollman

VIDEO: They'll feature in Phil Dollman's testimonial rugby match next month

Phil Dollman, who was Rob Baxter's first Exeter Chiefs signing in 2009, is celebrating his much-deserved testimonial year.

The 33-year-old Welshman has made more than 150 appearances for the Chiefs during his ten year spell with the Devon club. Dollman played an instrumental part in helping Exeter gain promotion into the Premiership for the first-ever time in 2010. Seven years later, he scored a try in the Premiership Final as the Chiefs beat Wasps 20-23 crowning them champions of England.

It's been an outstanding career for Dollman, and to celebrate his impressive accomplishments with Exeter, a Testimonial rugby match will be staged in his honour at Sandy Park next month (31st August).

Former Exeter Chiefs legends are coming out of retirement to take part in the event - raising money for Devon Air Ambulance and Exeter Foundation.

Dolly's Originals, captained by Dollman, face Crawshay's Welsh All Stars in a 14:00 kick-off. The match will feature some former players from the Championship winning squad of 2010 amongst other international stars.

"It will be a great day, and Sandy Park is a great place to come and watch it," said Dollman. "We've got Matt Jess, Tom Johnson, Julian Salvi and Kai Hortsmann at it again - It will be good fun."
