Gloucester-Hartpury are champions of the Premier 15s after battering Exeter Chiefs at Kingshom stadium.

Exeter Chiefs went into the Premier 15s final with heartache from last year’s final, where they were defeated by the Saracens. A win today would have seen Exeter as the Premier 15s champions for the first time in their history. However, Gloucester were in the driving seat for the entire match to be victorious over the Chiefs and thwart Exeter's title hopes.

The match started quickly, as Gloucester-Hartpury scored within the first five minutes of the match a driving maul directed by Kelsey Jones dotted down to achieve her eighth try of the season.

There were many handling errors to follow and both sides were showing lots of attacking opportunities and Exeter had a lucky escape as TMO came to the rescue.

Exeter weren't at the races during the first half, they made subtle mistakes which proved vital as the hosts touched down twice more, compared to Exeter's once to lead at the break.

The half time score being, Gloucester Hartpury 17, Exeter Chiefs 7

The second half followed a similar narrative to the first with Gloucester dominating. They were firm for the entire match which depraved the chances of Exeter bouncing back in the final 40 minutes.

Although the Chiefs were desperately trying to get back into the game, Gloucester- Hartpury thwarted them at every single opportunity. They scored three more times in the second half whereas Exeter only touched down once.

The home side were the better side, converting all of their opportunities - compared to the Exeter players who didn't.

Two Premier 15s finals, two losses the Chiefs just haven't found the rhythm or formula to lift the title, yet.

Full time score: Gloucester-Hartpury 34, Exeter Chiefs 19.
