Jurassic Fibre raises money for RD&E

Almost £4000 raised for the hospital's stroke unit

A team from Jurassic Fibre have completed a 103-mile charity walk for Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital’s Stroke Unit and raised almost £4,000.

The group of employees trekked from Ivybridge in South Devon to Lynmouth in the north of the county between 17 and 20 April. They crossed Dartmoor and Exmoor, navigating with a compass and sleeping under the stars. 

The team consisted of Dean Courtis, Service Delivery Supervisor; Matthew Clements, Planning Manager; James Day, GIS Technician; Kevin Orrell, Civil Construction Supervisor; Edit Boszormenyi, GIS Engineer Team Lead; Shane Mitchell, Service Delivery Supervisor; and Curtis Dixon, Construction Supervisor. 

Commenting on their achievement, Dean said: “We definitely underestimated the challenge! The whole team are ecstatic that we were able to complete it and raise money for the Stroke Unit. It was a great team-building experience and everyone who participated gave it 110%.”
