One of the world’s best contemporary ballet is coming to Devon.
Following their critically acclaimed UK debut in 2018, Ballet BC returns with an exciting double bill featuring works by two renowned choreographers.
The program includes "Passing" by the legendary Swedish choreographer Johan Inger, a longtime collaborator with Ballet BC.
This captivating piece explores the vast landscape of human emotion, with a cast of 20 dancers navigating themes of loss and sadness.
Bold staging, vibrant costumes, and a fusion of folk dance, hip hop, and swing create a dynamic and theatrical experience, set to an original and evocative score.
Joining the program is a reimagining of Crystal Pite's acclaimed 2008 work, "Frontier."
This visionary piece has been expanded for Ballet BC with 24 dancers, including four from the Rambert School in London.
"Frontier" offers a portrait of the invisible forces that shape our lives, with mysterious black-hooded figures representing our doubts and fears of the unknown, accompanied by a spine-tingling score.
This double bill promises a captivating evening of contemporary dance and the innovative visions of two leading choreographers.
